ARMA Milwaukee Board

The Board of Directors, which is the governing body of the chapter, shall consist of the President, Immediate Past President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Other (elected or appointed) positions may include but are not limited to Programs, Membership, and Members at Large.

The Board of Directors shall:  Manage the activities of the Chapter;  Appoint the Auditing Committee and approve its report;  Approve an annual budget;  Select the dates and make arrangements for meetings of the members;  Other duties.

At least thirty (30) days prior to June 30th of the year, the Chapter shall hold elections for the coming year’s officers.  All officers shall assume office July 1. They shall serve for a term of 1 year or until their successors are elected and have assumed duties.

Maggie is the Business Operations Manger, and Records Coordinator for the City of Milwaukee Common Council/City Clerk’s Office.

She previously held the Document Services Supervisor position for Milwaukee’s Records Center for six years, but her role as a records professional started in 2006 when she joined the Records Center as a Technician where she worked in document imaging. Under the guidance and mentorship of her hiring manager, Maggie’s knowledge, appreciation, understanding and concern for proper records management advanced her responsibilities into record retention schedule creation and consultation and disposition which allowed her to seamlessly transition into the supervisory role in 2016.

Maggie is a proud 2021 alum of San Jose State University’s Masters Degree program for Archives and Records Administration, and simultaneously earned the ICRM’s Certified Records Analyst upon graduation.  In 2023 she became a Certified Records Manager.

She also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in History with a Minor in Political Science, from UW-Milwaukee, and and Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies from MATC.

Maggie has been a member of ARMA since 2012, and previously served as Board Secretary from 2016-2018, and Website administrator from 2018 to present.

James Rudy

James Rudy is an Information Governance Supervisor with the law firm of Husch Blackwell. He joined the firm in 2017 and oversees the IG operations for the Milwaukee, Madison, Chicago & Washington DC offices.

He was previously an Operations Supervisor with Iron Mountain Records Management, working there between 2001 and 2017. While based in the Chicago territory, he became supervisor of Iron Mountain’s Health Information Services campus in 2007. In 2015 he then moved on to lead the operations of several record centers across the Milwaukee Territory.

James holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Carthage College in Kenosha, WI.

He also recently completed the Professional Leadership Certificate Program through ARMA International and is pursuing his certification to become a Certified Records Analyst (CRA) from ICRM. An ARMA member since 2018.

Beth Hynes is a Certified Records Manager (CRM) and certified Information Governance Professional (IGP) with over twenty years in the information management profession. Beth is currently a Records Management Consultant for Northwestern Mutual’s Privacy team. Prior she owned her own national recruiting organization, Vision Search Partners, specializing in all levels of Records & Information Governance position. Before working in recruiting, Beth was a RIM software sales executive and consultant.

Beth has previously served on board of the ARMA Milwaukee and the Twin Cities chapters and remains active in her local chapter where she currently holds a position on the Milwaukee chapter board as the Secretary. Beth has actively contributed to the Information Profession by speaking at various chapter meetings, conferences, and universities. Before working in recruiting, Beth was a RIM sales executive and consultant.

Saralee Taibleson is an Intake and Information Analyst at Godfrey & Kahn, S.C. She started with G&K in 1978. In the last 45 years, she has worked in many areas of the firm.

Saralee’s first ARMA Convention was in 2015, where she made several connections.

This is her second term serving on the ARMA board, but she has served on other committees in the community.

This past year, Saralee was presented with the Arlyce J. Vogel Member Achievement award from ARMA-Milwaukee.

In 2017 She was an Unsung Hero recipient. This award is presented by the Wisconsin Law Journal.

Shaina Nielsen is a dedicated and accomplished Records Analyst at Briggs & Stratton, LLC, where she has built a significant career spanning 12 years.

Her professional journey at the company began in 2013 as a contractor, where she focused on document scanning—a foundational experience that introduced her to the critical nature of records management. Recognizing her dedication and skill, Briggs & Stratton hired her on directly in 2018 as a Records Associate. Through hard work and a commitment to professional growth, Shaina successfully worked her way up the ranks to her current position as Records Analyst.

Committed to elevating her expertise, Shaina is actively pursuing the Certified Records Analyst (CRA) designation. She recognizes the CRA as a significant professional achievement that will unlock further opportunities within information governance. She has been an active member with ARMA since 2022, ensuring she remains current with industry best practices and standards.

Elizabeth started with VRC in 2020 as a Records Manager and manages the Records Department for one of VRC’s biggest client (Johnson Controls).

Elizabeth first ARMA meeting was back in 2005 and has served in the ARMA Milwaukee Board as Secretary and Member at Large in the past.

Elizabeth has over 20 years of experience in the Records field. Elizabeth has an Associate Degree from the University of Puerto Rico, in Records and Office Systems and a Technical Certificate in Records & Information Management Specialist from Chippewa Valley Technical College in Eau Clair.

Elizabeth is currently studying to obtain her Certified Records Analyst (CRA) certification and Certified Records Management (CRM) certificate.

ARMA International Chapter Advisory Committee Representative

 

Richard Gureski is the Records Management Lead for Northwestern Mutual’s Privacy Team.  Prior to joining NM he served as the Central File Manager at Godfrey & Kahn, S.C. for 13 ½ years. Richard has over 23 years of experience in Records and Information Management spanning the Accounting, Insurance and Legal industries. During his career he has authored and implemented policies and procedures governing Intake, File Transfers, Legal Holds, Paperless Office and Record Retention.  He has presented on topics including, “The Paperless Office”, “E-Discovery and Legal Holds”, “RIM Professionals and Their Relations with other Professionals” and “Successful Collaborations and Utilizing Technology for Chapter Programs.”  A member of ARMA Milwaukee since 1998, Richard has served three terms as Chapter President and numerous terms in other board positions.  During his time on the board ARMA Milwaukee has twice been awarded the prestigious Chapter Luminary Award and was a one-time recipient of ARMA’s Standing Ovation Award.

In October 2024, ARMA International honored Richard with their Standing Ovation Award for his work in creating and chairing the popular virtual conference series known as Spring Seminar-Mania.
